Cake Zine friends,
The past few weeks have been a blur of magazine events and sugar. The end of the year is nearly here, but before we go offline for the holidays we’ve got a few more treats to share.
Up first: Our new shirt with design studio Social Species is available online! It’s a wonderfully weirdo homage to a certain animated gingerbread man who definitely isn’t at risk of copyright infringement. We’ve also released more sizing of all the shirts in our archive: the minimalist Humble Pie tee and the gothic cult classic Death by Chocolate. Supplies are limited, so snag one ASAP.
We’re also excited to share an up-to-date list of our domestic and international stockists here, just scroll down past the masthead.
We’re so grateful to everyone who made it out to our Tough Cookie launch events in New York and London earlier this month. Our NYC event last Thursday was extra special, featuring a literal cookie wall from Laurie Ellen Pellicano, a DIY zine stand from Shrimp Zine, drinks from Amaro Montenegro, and more goodies seen here. ICYMI, or just want to relive the evening, we’re thrilled to share a few photos of the events from Shirley Chan and Brandyn Liu.
LONDON:
NYC:
If you live in NYC and missed our launch party, you can get a taste of the evening at The Good Batch bakery in Clinton Hill this weekend: Midnight Mint, a Thin Mint-inspired sandwich cookie designed in collaboration with Cake Zine, will be available for purchase at the bakery this weekend and next.
Misc cake content

Eat: Cake Zine contributor Mehreen Karim is cooking a month-long residency at Farm to People in Brooklyn for the month of January. She’s throwing a special disco party to celebrate on January 4—20% of proceeds supporting Anera, a nonprofit dedicated to funding aid for Palestinian refugees.
Buy: Humble Pie contributors Olivia Crandall and Elena Foraker have released a new issue of their zine, Not Here To Make Friends, an excavation of reality television. If you liked their piece exploring pie-as-humiliation on Love Island in Humble Pie—read it here!—you’ll love the zine.
